Marimo Moss Ball Care Tips

• Water:
  Change the water every 1–2 weeks. Use cool, clean tap water (preferably dechlorinated) or bottled water.
• Light:
  Keep in indirect, soft light. Avoid direct sunlight as it can cause browning or overheating.
• Temperature:
  They thrive in cool water between 5°C–25°C (41°F–77°F). In hotter months, keep them in a shaded or cooler spot.
• Cleaning:
  Gently squeeze and roll them between your hands under clean water during water changes to help maintain their round shape and remove debris.
• Tankmates:
  Safe with gentle aquatic creatures like shrimp or snails. Avoid fish that may nibble on them.
• Growth:
  They grow slowly — about 5 mm per year.
• Bonus Tip:
  If they float, give them a gentle squeeze to release trapped air, then they’ll sink again.
